Martin LaRoche, P.Eng.

Martin LaRoche, P.Eng. graduated in Geological Engineering from Laval University in Quebec City in 1987. He completed his masters in geotechnical engineering in 1991. He spent most of his career with a Montreal based engineering firm called Dessau that owned a geoprofessional business called LVM. Martin rapidly climbed the corporate ladder and as a 31 years old became the youngest shareholder of Dessau, a privately-owned company of 400 in 1994 and the manager of the geotechnical group . He was employed for 22 years with Dessau / LVM, which grew from 400 employees in 1994 to 5000 employees in 2012. Martin took different roles in management and operations, including leading the environmental team for about 6 years, managing operations for two years in Algeria, and finally leading acquisitions and integrations of 6 companies bought by Dessau / LVM in Quebec and other provinces of Canada. In 2012, Martin left Dessau for AMEC and then joined SNC-Lavalin in 2015 to manage the Geotechnical / Environmental / Materials Engineering division which now counts 600 employees in the province of Quebec.
