On September 24, join ESRI Product Manager Michael Davidson, Ph.D., P.E., for a practical discussion about integrating geotechnical and GIS workflows to improve collaboration, data accessibility, and project decision-making.
Subsurface information is among the most valuable, yet fragmented data used on transportation and infrastructure projects. Geotechnical engineers, GIS analysts, project managers, and owners often work from disconnected systems and static reports, limiting the value of subsurface information throughout a project’s lifecycle.
Using a linear infrastructure case study, Michael will demonstrate how geotechnical and GIS professionals can work together to organize, analyze, and visualize borehole data in a spatial environment. Michael Davidson, Ph.D., P.E.
Product Manager, ESRI
Michael Davidson is an ESRI Product Manager focused on advancing interoperability across GIS, CAD, and BIM technologies, including ArcGIS for AutoCAD. He brings more than 10 years of experience in civil engineering software development, with previous work in bridge BIM technologies and geostatistics. Michael holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
