Promote GBA in Your Firm
Help maximize the value of GBA membership for your firm and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth for all employees by promoting engagement with GBA in your firm. GBA resources address all aspects of running a geoprofessional business: HR, IT, finance, marketing, and more, whether or not the functions are performed by geoprofessional generalists or functional professionals.Nearly everything is free of charge too, so promote GBA resources to your staff. They’ll thank you for it, and your company will derive greater value from its GBA membership dues.
We’ve assembled some materials to help you promote GBA in your firm.
Begin to promote GBA by sending your employees to sign up for GBA website access; each employee should have their own login. In most cases, employees will be able to select the location of the firm where they work at the time they sign up so that they receive member access and pricing immediately. Occasionally, however, GBA staff may need to update a new record to receive member access; if your employees have any trouble getting member access to the website, have them contact us.
We’ve created a template you can use to develop a presentation for your staff and coworkers, and a flyer template that you can handout at that presentation and/or separately to everyone in your firm. Both templates can be updated with your firm’s name and customized in other ways to suit your firm and your employees.
You could also provide employees with a copy of the guide to GBA’s Online Resources for Members.
Here is a sample message that you can customize and send to your staff:
Hi, Did you know that our company is a member of the Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA)? We are, and that means you (and every employee here) can get free access to GBA resources at www.geoprofessional.org for whatever you need: professional development, project management, working with clients, and more. Sign up for a password today. Ask me if you have any questions – I’ve been using GBA resources myself and can help point you toward ones that could help you.
