Crystal Ball Workshop

June 24 @ 8:00 am - June 25 @ 5:00 pm

Over the past 15-years, the GBA has held a series of Crystal Ball Workshops to identify long-term emerging issues and business trends, and their potential impacts on the geoprofessions. Workshops have accurately foreseen consolidation trends in our industry, as well as many of the impacts from demographic and economic shifts that geoprofessionals have experienced. They have also accurately predicted the impacts of climate change and big data, AI, and machine learning on our industry.

At the conclusion of each Workshop, GBA publishes a summary of discussions and recommendations to members in support of their businesses as a Business Brief. GBA has accurately identified mega trends that have transformed our profession early to help geoprofessionals to prepare, remain relevant, and thrive through change.
